Club Activity
President Meredith called the February 7th meeting to order just after noon. We welcomed guests Wendy Wetzel of the nonprofit Days for Girls and our prospective new member Fady.
Updates
Announcements:
-Carla reiterated our call for selling tickets for our Theatrikos night in March. We need to sell lots of tickets!
-Laura spoke about her experience at PETS and announced the first Golf Committee meeting
Service Projects: PDG Tonya announced the next service project, March 4 at the Flagstaff Family Food Center warehouse location.
Social Events: Steve Cervantes announced the February 18th social at Steve and Tonya's house. (Follow-up: the social was a smashing success. Steve cooked his keester off, and a good time was had by all!)
Program
Our speaker was Kelly Teeselink, director of Girls on the Run of Northern Arizona. She talked about her own experiences with running as well as her role with GotR organization. She discussed the many ways in which the program can have a positive effect on young girls' lives. She very much appreciates the volunteering our club has done at their past events!
Wrap up and Rotary announcements
Split the pot - Mike Williams' ticket was drawn, but he failed to find the joker. The jackpot rolls on...
